New Patriots O-lineman adds to perfect attendance at practice Wednesday

FOXBORO — The Patriots fielded a full roster at practice Wednesday, including new offensive lineman James Ferentz.

Ferentz, who started one game last year after spending most of his Pats tenure on the practice squad, wore his old No. 66. His addition has not yet been announced by the team. The Patriots started the day with an open spot on their 53-man roster. Newly-signed quarterback Jake Dolegala, who was added to the practice squad Tuesday, was also present.

Cam Newton looked uninhibited after he was spotted reaching for his left hamstring after Sunday’s win over the Dolphins.

Wide receiver Gunner Olszewski and offensive tackle Yodny Cajuste continue to be absent, as both were placed on injured reserve last week. They will be out through at least Week 3.

The Pats will kick off next at Seattle on Sunday night at 8:15 p.m.
