Malta Update: It's Official, President Signs Cannabis Legalization Bill Into Law

After Malta's Parliament said ‘yes’ to legalization last week and became the first country in Europe to legalize it, the country's President George Vella signed the bill into law this past Saturday.

Under the new law, adults 18 and older will be allowed to possess up to seven grams of and cultivate as many as four plants for personal use. Although there will not be a commercial market, non-profit cooperatives will be able to cultivate marijuana.
